Those with celiac disease, a severe immune reaction to gluten, cannot tolerate foods such as pasta, bread, cereal, crackers, baked goods, or even beer. Rice and corn products, for example, are tolerated. But now a whole host of gluten-free foods have popped up in the supermarket and whole foods stores. Gluten-free baked goods, pasta, cookies, and yes, eve beer, are available in grocery stores, nationwide. You may even find a gluten-free bakery in your area. Some parents of autistic children opt for gluten-free products for their kids, as well.
Instructions

Check the local whole foods, natural foods or health food store, sometimes known as a co-op. Ask about gluten-free products in terms of any baked goods, including bagels, breakfast bars, pastries, pizza, breads and crackers.
2Ask for rice or amaranth flour. Any grain flour can be substituted for regular flour in recipes. Try nuts and beans as substitutes for sugars and starches.
3Choose rice pasta, cereal, crackers and bread. Go for rice milk or almond milk. Enjoy corn bread and corn tortillas.
4Find gluten-free beer. Dozens of possibilities exist, from the US as well as England, Australia and Canada. American choices include Sprecher Brewery and Bard's Tale Beer.
5Ask at the whole foods store if there is a gluten-free bakery located near you, or check the label on the gluten-free breads showcased at the store. These stores cater to the gluten-free diet and vary specials each day, just like regular bakeries. Also, ask at regular bakeries if any of their offerings are gluten-free. Many bakeries now feature at least one or two types of breads that are gluten-free.
