Berries (fruits) and nuts (seeds) are a nutritious source of vitamins and minerals. A diet of berries and nuts does not mean you should consume only berries and nuts in your daily diet. This diet refers to a Mediterranean diet in which you consume nuts and berries along with other foods as part of your daily diet. The journal supports facts gathered during a longitudinal study done in British Columbia in 2008. It argues the increased fiber amount lowers saturated fat in the digestive system. This successfully flushes out anti-toxins from the body, providing increased immunity and resistance. Similarly, pecan nuts provide the human body with polyunsaturated fats, reducing heart pressure and lowering nervous system infections.
