    A sea salt cleanse can be used as a laxative to remove toxins from the body. It is also known to be helpful for those suffering from chronic fatigue syndrome or digestive problems. Also a natural antihistamine, a sea salt cleanse can relieve sinus trouble as well.

Cooking With Sea Salt

    In terms of nutritional value, sea salt and table salt are basically the same. Some people prefer the taste and texture of sea salt when added to food. Sea salt contains traces of other minerals like calcium, magnesium and iron that are refined out of table salt. These minerals provide a subtle taste difference.

Where Does it Come From?


    Sea salt is made from sea brine that is evaporated, usually using solar power. It is typically mined from the Dead Sea, Himalayas, Mediterranean Sea, Pacific Ocean or the Great Salt Lake. People from all over the world travel to bathe in the Dead Sea.

Warnings

    Since it is salt, sea salt cleansing is not recommended for people with heart conditions or high blood pressure. Sea salt lacks the iodine found in table salt, an element the body needs to some degree.
