How to Plan Survival Food Storage on a Gluten Free-Casein Free Diet

Survival food storage can seem impossible on a gluten free casein free diet. Add to that soy free, which many on the GFCF diets avoid, and your list of possible food storage items will shrink dramatically. Here's what you can do to plan survival food storage on a GFCFSF diet:

Instructions

    1

Make a list of gluten and casein free meals that you make. If you buy already prepared meals, frozen or canned, add those to the list as well. If you eat out at local restaurants that serve meals you can eat, add those to the list.

    2

Write down the ingredients for each meal. Don't include any additives or "natural flavors" found in many canned and frozen foods. Your goal is to find dehydrated foods, freeze dried foods and 10 can food storage for each ingredient listed.

    3

Visit online stores that specialize in emergency food supply to get the ingredients you need. Don't count on finding everything for your survival food storage in once place, as this can be very hard to do.

    4

Examine the ingredients carefully if you're buying full meals, because of the additives and other food contaminants that are prohibited when on a gluten and casein free diet. Ask the online retailer or local cannery whether the ingredients are all natural, non-genetically modified and free of chemicals.

    5

Stock as much extra virgin olive oils for cooking survival food storage items that are not dehydrated or freeze dried. Buy and store your favorite spices as well, because they may not be listed in the ingredients you listed in Step 1.
