How to Create a Weight Loss Graph

Using a weight loss graph can help you maintain steady weight loss and allow you to determine where changes in diet or exercise need to occur. You can create a weight loss graph using Microsoft Word. By tracking your weight on a weekly or monthly basis, you should be able to meet weight loss goals, while maintaining a healthy lifestyle. Entering in your weight each week can motivate you to stick to a healthy diet and exercise plan.

Instructions

    1

Open an MS Word document. Click "Insert" and then "Chart." Select "Line Chart."

    2

Remove extra graph lines by highlighting and clicking "Delete." When creating a weight loss graph, an MS Excel spreadsheet will automatically open.

    3

Enter in the units of time you want to measure in Column A on the Excel spreadsheet. Track monthly, weekly or daily weight loss.

    4

Enter in weight loss amounts in the spaces next to Column A. For example, if you lose 5 lbs. in the month of January, enter 5 in the cell next to January.

    5

Save your weight loss graph and spreadsheet for future use.
