What Restaurants Offer Gluten-Free Menus?

What Restaurants Offer Gluten-Free Menus?

Finding gluten-free options when you're eating out can be a challenge. Fortunately, several restaurants offer gluten-free menus, either as part of their regular menu or as a separate, special menu. Often you can find the gluten-free listing on the restaurant's website.

Outback Steakhouse

In addition to its signature steaks, Outback's extensive gluten-free menu also includes appetizers, salads, entrees and a flourless chocolate dessert. Its gluten-free menu is similar to its regular menu, but includes instructions on how to modify items to make them gluten-free. For example, the salad section reminds patrons to order salads without croutons. The gluten-free menu is a separate menu, available by request at the host station.

P.F. Chang's China Bistro

If you're looking for gluten-free Chinese restaurants, P.F. Chang's meets the criteria. Its gluten-free menu contains more than 25 items, including a few of P.F. Chang's most popular dishes such as Mongolian beef, moo goo gai pan, egg-drop soup and Chang's spicy chicken. Several of the gluten-free dishes are vegetarian. P.F. Chang's gluten-free menu is printed on its regular menu.

Chili's

Chili's gluten-free menu has soups, salads, chicken, steak, ribs and burgers--without the bun, of course. It also contains information about which sides, sauces, salad dressings and beverages are gluten-free. The gluten-free menu is part of Chili's allergy menu, included on its website.

Sammy's Woodfired Pizza

All of Sammy's wood-fired pizzas are available with a gluten-free crust. Sammy's menu also includes gluten-free tapas, salads, soups and desserts. The chain even has gluten-free beer. Sammy's website notes that all of the kitchen staff is specially-trained on how to handle gluten-free items to prevent contamination from items that contain gluten.

Claim Jumper Restaurants

Claim Jumper's gluten-free menu features chicken and salmon salads, a giant baked potato, a quesadilla, steak and lobster. The menu also lists gluten-free sides. The format is similar to its regular menu, but includes hints and suggestions along the way, such as "decline bread choice" and "no herb gravy." The items listed on the gluten-free menu are modified versions of the items on the regular menu, so patrons should specify "gluten-free" when ordering. The menu is available on Claim Jumper's website as well as at each individual restaurant.

Uno Chicago Grill

Uno's gluten-free menu has steaks, chicken and seafood as well as salads and sides. In addition, Uno's offers three of its pizzas -- cheese, pepperoni and veggie -- in a gluten-free version.
