Effective Weight Loss Pills

As more and more Americans battle obesity, the diet industry has made billions of dollars selling weight loss pills that will supposedly make us thin in a fraction of the time diet and exercise will. Though some pills have been proven to be useless or harmful to your health, there are others that have been proven to help users lose weight. Most work by speeding up your metabolism to help burn fat faster than would otherwise be possible.

The Facts

Before even discussing any effective weight loss pills on the market, it's important to understand that those looking to lose weight should never take anything that isn't approved by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA). Sometimes, weight loss pills that have been approved have been found to have negative and in some cases, very harmful side effects. Safe and effective diet pills do exist, but sometimes it's difficult to find one that works for you. When seeking out an effective weight loss pill, you should consider the ingredients in the pill, any safety issues or side effects that may occur, the company's reputation, the weight loss potential, and the long-term benefits of utilizing the pill.

Types

Many companies claim to provide effective weight loss pills, but very few actually deliver their results. Based on specific criteria laid out by Consumer Price Watch, it was determined that LipoFuze is one of the most effective weight loss pills on the market. The pill features 10 patented and clinically proven weight loss ingredients and fat burners that are said to provide long-term weight loss to its users. Other top contenders include Nuphedragen, which has been cited as the most powerful diet pill on the market, and Noxycut, which is a diet pill formulated for men that contains a blend of fat burners, testosterone boosters and muscle builders.

Considerations

There are health risks to consider before choosing a weight loss pills. For example, Nuphedragen (listed as the second most effective weight loss pill) is controversial because of its low safety score (it received a 79 percent). The pill may be taken off the market by the FDA because it reportedly contains phentermine and prescription-strength pain relievers. Phentermine is a stimulant similar to an amphetamine. It's important to consider your options and do as much research as possible before choosing a weight loss pill because if you don't, you can be putting your health at risk.

Misconceptions

Many in search of an effective weight loss pill are under the impression that it will cause them to lose drastic amounts of weight in a short amount of time. Though that may be true for some pills, it's not a healthy, effective way to lose weight. As soon as the user stops taking the pills, which also happen to be very expensive, he will gain all of his weight back. If you are going to use weight loss pills, you should also eat healthy, diet when necessary, and exercise in order to remain healthy and keep the weight off.

Warning

The FDA recently announced an investigation into reports of liver problems related to the over-the-counter weight loss pill, Alli (the prescription version is called Xenical). Alli was previously believed to be one of the most effective weight loss pills on the market and is still widely used by many, despite these health concerns. If you are using Alli, you should discontinue your use at least until the investigation by the FDA is over.
