Going to gym is an option, but successful exercise can be done free of charge in and around your home. A good beginning step is to walk for 30 minutes a day, increasing by 10 to 15 minutes each week. The length of your walk is not as important as developing a weekly schedule for exercise and sticking to it.

Reducing Calories

    Crash dieting provides a temporary solution to weight gain but often is not a lasting one. Simply cutting the calories you consume in a day and moderating your diet will provide you with the quickest and most permanent weight loss solution. It is also easy on your pocketbook, as it prevents you from having to buy specialty food in order to maintain your weight loss. The key here is moderation. Don't deprive yourself of any food, even junk foods; just eat them all in strict moderation.

Water

    Often called the best motivator in weight loss, water is vital to loosing and keeping off weight. It is the cheapest appetite suppressant available. Water helps weight loss by making you feel full, flushing out waste and helping your body burn calories. Drinking ice water can be even more beneficial. Your body has to work very hard to raise the temperature of the water to that of your body.
