    According to information from the dieting website Everydiet.org, the Flat Belly Diet is a dieting approach that mimics many of the principles of the Mediterranean Diet. While on the Flat Belly Diet you should limit your consumption of red meat (and the saturated fat contained therein) in favor of heart-healthy monounsaturated fats (found in olive, peanut, sesame, and sunflower oils, and items like nuts and seeds). The diet recommends healthy carbohydrates like grains, fruits, and veggies (complying with the diabetic diet), along with plenty of lean protein like low-fat meat, chicken, and fish.
