You do, and you have your outfit ready, but you also have a big problem--you cannot fit in that gorgeous cocktail dress you had bought before you gained weight. You're frantic because you need to go from a size 14 to a size 10 in only a matter of a month or so. Take heart--there are several quick ways to lose weight so you can be the center of attraction at that special affair.

Water

    Drink lots of water--about eight to ten glasses every day. Along with purifying your system, drinking a lot of water will make your stomach feel full, thereby reducing the urge to eat. Since it is important to eat healthily while trying to lose weight, be sure you drink the water before or between meals so your food can properly digest in your system. Additionally, by drinking ice cold water you can lose 62 calories, and strength your metabolism.

Meals

    Set a diet plan that includes three solid meals per day. It is especially tempting to skip breakfast, thinking you will make up for it at lunch or dinner, but all this does is make you more hungry during the day, leading to overeating. Therefore, have a sensible breakfast, lunch and dinner, and have two snacks in between--one after lunch, the other after dinner. Keep snacks limited to fruits and vegetables, and refrain from eating dinner too late. Between 6 and 6:30 p.m. is good, as the later you eat, the more weight you will gain, especially while sleeping.

Exercise/Commitment

    Exercising can be a pain for many people, but can help you to lose weight quickly and strengthen your muscles at the same time. If you cannot afford gym costs, settle for jogging around your neighborhood in the mornings and a simple workout routine inside your home. Above all, stay committed. This is difficult, especially if you are a slave to junk foods. Resist the urge to cheat on your diet, and remember that indulging will only prolong your weight loss ordeal. Follow these steps diligently and you will be the envy of everyone else in no time.
